Over at For The Love Of Harry, there’s a video of Harry Nilsson comparing the song “Yesterday” with Ray Charles’ “Georgia.” Nilsson suggests the songs are only a note apart, and that when Paul was asking the other Beatles if they’d heard it before (right after he wrote it), it was because Paul subconsiously knew, but failed to recognize, any similarities. Great blog. Well written.
